Beginning November 21, a small number of guests may pursue genuinely wild coveys in a dedicated reserve. These are habitat-first hunts: no released birds, no promised harvest and no pressure beyond what the population can sustain.

Reserve your quail hunt.
A select number of hunting parties will be welcomed while restoration of the preserve’s historic structures continues.
Every quail package includes guides, dogs, field transportation, birds, shells, shotgun use, hunting license, bird cleaning and packaging, and the meals listed with each package. There are no additional bird, ammunition or gun rental charges.
Meals are catered at the preserve or enjoyed at a local restaurant at our expense, including restaurant gratuities.
Guide gratuities are optional and are not included in the package price. Our guides are paid by the preserve; any additional tip is entirely at your discretion.
All quail prices are per hunter. Two-hunter minimum. The booking portal shows the total for two hunters. Full payment is due at booking. Booking opens in a new tab.

Full-Day Quail & Overnight Stay

A limited, guided hunt for native wild bobwhite, with lunch and refreshments. No released birds and no guaranteed harvest. $3,000 for two hunters.
A half-day wild-covey hunt, one overnight stay, lunch, dinner and breakfast. No guaranteed harvest. $4,000 for two hunters.

Common questions
What should I bring?
Ask John about clothing, footwear and any equipment or license requirements for your specific hunt. Quail packages include shotgun use, shells and a hunting license. Rabbit packages include shotgun use and shells. Confirm deer equipment and license requirements before arrival.
Can I stay overnight?
Selected quail packages include an overnight stay. Deer lodging and meal arrangements depend on the package. Explore accommodations and confirm your arrangements before booking.
How do reservations and payment work?
Select a package to view its booking calendar. Full payment is due at booking. If you need help choosing a package or date, contact John first.
What if I need to cancel or weather is a concern?
Cancellations at least 30 days before your hunt receive a 50% refund. Cancellations under 30 days are nonrefundable. If the preserve cancels, choose a full refund or reschedule. Contact John to discuss weather concerns before traveling.
